How does Lyvra calculate my energy costs? expand_more
Lyvra combines your smart meter readings with your electricity prices (either dynamic spot prices or your fixed rate) to calculate exactly how much each charging session and your total energy consumption costs. You can view daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly cost breakdowns in the app.
How much can I save with Lyvra? expand_more
Savings depend on your setup, but users with solar panels and a dynamic energy contract typically save 20-35% on EV charging costs. By charging during cheap hours and using solar surplus, Lyvra minimizes what you pay for grid electricity.
Carga
What is solar charging? expand_more
Solar charging automatically adjusts your EV charging speed based on how much solar energy your panels are producing. When the sun is shining, your car charges faster using free solar power. When production drops, charging slows down or pauses to avoid drawing expensive grid power.
What is dynamic pricing charging? expand_more
If you have a dynamic electricity contract (like Tibber, ANWB Energie, or Zonneplan), Lyvra schedules your EV charging during the cheapest hours of the day. It fetches day-ahead spot prices from ENTSO-E and creates an optimal charging schedule to minimize your costs.
What is dynamic load balancing? expand_more
Dynamic load balancing monitors your home's total energy consumption in real-time and automatically adjusts your EV charging current to prevent overloading your main fuse. This means you can charge at the highest possible speed without tripping your breaker.
Can I set a charging schedule? expand_more
Yes. You can create smart charging schedules in the Lyvra app. Set your desired departure time and minimum charge level, and Lyvra will figure out the cheapest and greenest time to charge. You can also combine solar charging with price optimization.
Dispositivos
Which EV chargers are supported? expand_more
Easee chargers are fully tested and supported. We also have integrations built for go-e, NexBlue, Wallbox, and Zaptec. Additionally, any charger that supports OCPP 1.6 or 2.0.1 can be connected to Lyvra. Check our Supported Devices page for the full list.
Can I use my own OCPP charger with Lyvra? expand_more
Yes! Lyvra runs its own OCPP central system (CPMS). Any charger that supports OCPP 1.6 or 2.0.1 can connect to Lyvra by pointing it to our OCPP endpoint. This includes brands like Alfen, ABB, Peblar, and many others.
How do I connect my smart meter? expand_more
If you have a Lyvra Smart Meter Dongle, plug it into the P1 port on your smart meter. The dongle connects to your Wi-Fi and sends data to Lyvra automatically. You can also use the Easee Equalizer as a smart meter source. Pair the dongle via Bluetooth in the Lyvra app.
Will solar inverters and home batteries be supported? expand_more
Yes, these are on our roadmap. We plan to add support for popular brands like SolarEdge, Enphase, Huawei, Tesla Powerwall, and others. Currently, Lyvra uses solar forecast data and your smart meter readings to optimize charging around solar production.
General
What is Lyvra? expand_more
Lyvra is a smart energy management platform that connects your EV charger, solar panels, home battery, and smart meter into one system. It optimizes when and how your devices use energy โ saving you money and maximizing your self-consumption of solar power.
Do I need the Lyvra Smart Meter Dongle? expand_more
Not necessarily. The dongle gives you real-time energy readings from your P1 smart meter, which enables features like solar charging and dynamic load balancing. However, if your EV charger has a built-in energy meter (like the Easee Equalizer), Lyvra can use that data instead.
Is Lyvra free to use? expand_more
Lyvra is currently in beta and free for early adopters. We plan to introduce subscription plans in the future, but beta testers will receive special pricing.
Which countries does Lyvra support? expand_more
Lyvra works in any country with DSMR-compatible smart meters (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg) and cloud-connected EV chargers. Dynamic pricing is currently available for countries in the ENTSO-E region (most of Europe). We're expanding support for more regions.
Solar
How does Lyvra know my solar production? expand_more
Lyvra gets your solar data from two sources: your smart meter (which shows real-time net consumption/production) and solar forecast APIs that predict your production based on your panel setup and weather data. This combination allows Lyvra to both react to current production and plan ahead.
Do I need solar panels to use Lyvra? expand_more
No. Lyvra works great even without solar panels. You can still benefit from dynamic pricing optimization, load balancing, energy monitoring, and smart charging schedules. Solar features are simply an added bonus if you have panels.
