Supported systems
Any SolarEdge system that reports to the SolarEdge monitoring platform (the mySolarEdge app or monitoring.solaredge.com):
- HD-Wave single-phase: SE2200H to SE6000H
- Three-phase: SE8K to SE33.3K and larger
- StorEdge / Home Hub hybrid inverters with a SolarEdge Home Battery (battery state of charge is shown as well)
Lyvra reads the whole site, so a system with several inverters is connected as one device.
What you need
- A SolarEdge system that is online in the SolarEdge monitoring platform
- A mySolarEdge account (the login you use in the mySolarEdge app). If you never had one, ask your installer to invite you as the site owner, or register at monitoring.solaredge.com with the e-mail address your installer used when the system was commissioned
You do not need an API key and you do not need to contact your installer for one. Lyvra uses SolarEdge's official "Connect" consent flow.
Step 1: Start the connection in Lyvra
- Open the Lyvra app and go to your location
- Tap Add Device → Solar Panels → SolarEdge
- Tap Connect with SolarEdge. Your browser opens the SolarEdge Connect page
Step 2: Approve access at SolarEdge
- Sign in with your mySolarEdge e-mail address and password
- Review what Lyvra may read (site and device production data) and tap Approve
- You are sent back to the Lyvra app. The system appears under your devices within a few seconds, with today's production and the last 30 days of history filled in
If you own more than one SolarEdge site, repeat the steps for each site. SolarEdge asks for consent per site.
Available data
- Current power — AC output averaged over the latest 15-minute interval (kW), refreshed while you use the app
- Today's energy — Energy produced today (kWh), derived from the 15-minute curve
- Production history — 15-minute curve per day and daily totals, completed every evening after sunset
- Total energy — Lifetime production (kWh), refreshed weekly
- Battery — State of charge and charge/discharge power on StorEdge / Home Hub systems
SolarEdge publishes site data as 15-minute averages, so the value in Lyvra can lag up to 30 minutes behind the display on your inverter or in mySolarEdge. The solar screen shows when the value was last updated.
Solar surplus charging
When a Lyvra P1 dongle is connected at the same location, solar charging keeps using the live export reading from your smart meter, which is real-time. Without a meter, Lyvra uses the SolarEdge production value; because that is a 15-minute average, surplus charging reacts more slowly to passing clouds.
Troubleshooting
- "Reconnect SolarEdge" is shown on the solar screen: Lyvra's access to the site has expired or was revoked (for example after a long period without any data requests, or after you removed Lyvra under Connected apps in mySolarEdge). Tap Reconnect and approve again
- The browser opens but I cannot sign in: Use the same e-mail address and password as the mySolarEdge app. If you never set up a mySolarEdge account, your installer has to invite you as the site owner first
- "The connection request expired": The SolarEdge page has to be completed within 15 minutes of tapping Connect. Tap Start again
- The value looks stale during the day: Lyvra refreshes the SolarEdge value a few times per day per site, and only while you are looking at the app. The daily curve and totals are always complete, because the whole day is fetched after sunset
- No data at night: Expected. Nothing is requested from SolarEdge between dusk and dawn
